A state grant exceeding $290,000 will reimburse Conneaut Lake Borough for traffic light improvements in its downtown business district corridor, according to Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50).

“Conneaut Lake Borough businesses and residents will benefit from the traffic signal improvements made possible by this grant,” Brooks stated. “Roads serve as the veins and arteries of our local economies, and proper traffic movement can promote healthy growth and development.”

The grant will finance traffic signal enhancements at the intersection of Water Street (Route 6) and First Street.

The funding was approved through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Green Light-Go program. Green Light-Go grants reimburse municipalities for updates to improve the efficiency and operation of traffic signals. The grants aim to increase safety and mobility by relieving congestion and improving traffic flow.
