U.S. Representative Mike Kelly, a Republican from Pennsylvania, has expressed his support for a continuing resolution that will extend federal government funding until March 2025. The measure includes over $100 billion allocated for disaster relief and assistance to farmers, as well as the extension of Farm Bill provisions.
Rep. Kelly emphasized the importance of maintaining government operations and providing aid to those affected by recent natural disasters. "Congress has a responsibility to keep government's lights on and its doors open for the American people, and that's what this legislation does," he stated.
The funding aims to assist Americans still recovering from Hurricane Helene and other natural calamities. Rep. Kelly highlighted the significance of this support during the holiday season: "This funding is critical, especially during the Christmas season."
Looking ahead, Rep. Kelly expressed his intention to collaborate with President Trump in 2025: "I look forward to working with President Trump in 2025 to make America great again -- again!"
