City of Sharon issued the following announcement.
Seventeen members of the Thiel College Dietrich Honors Institute presented their senior thesis projects on subjects ranging from perceptions of casino gambling to the causes and consequences of sleepwalking during the DHI’s senior thesis symposium on Nov. 14.
“The honors thesis is an opportunity for our students to make an impact as emerging professionals and scholars,” Director of the Dietrich Honors Institute and Assistant Professor of History Sheila Nowinski, Ph.D. said. “Presentation day is the highlight of the year for me. It is wonderful to see how much our honors students grow over the course of their education.”
In accordance with the College’s safety guidelines and restrictions for COVID-19, limited in-person attendance was permitted for the presentations, but many additional friends and family members were able to attend through Zoom. Presentations were held in the Academic Center’s Bly Hall and the James Pedas Communication Center’s Stamm Hall.
