Rep. Mike Kelly, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Pennsylvania’s 16th district since 2011, shared updates on his recent legislative and investigatory efforts through a series of tweets.

On December 11, 2024, Rep. Mike Kelly expressed gratitude towards Ranking Member Jason Crow and all Task Force members for their diligent work on an investigation. He stated, "I also want to thank Ranking Member @RepJasonCrow and all Task Force members for diligently working through this investigation. In another tweet from the same day, Rep. Kelly conveyed a personal connection to an ongoing investigation related to his hometown Butler. He wrote, "Butler is my hometown. This investigation has been personal to me and to my community as we seek the truth about what happened on July 13. Thank you to @SpeakerJohnson for allowing me to Chair this Task Force."

Later that day, Rep. Kelly announced legislative progress concerning U.S. Route 20. His tweet read: "NEWS This week, my legislation to designate U.S. Route 20 as the National Medal of Honor Highway passed the U.S. House of Representatives! Designating this highway is just one way and we can cement their legacy in American history." He included a link for more information about this development.
