Rep. Tim Bonner has announced that more than $2.7 million in funding will be allocated to various projects within the 17th House District. The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) is providing these funds, which are expected to benefit taxpayers across the area.

The Grove City Area School District is set to receive $600,000 for an HVAC project at its middle school. This project involves replacing ten HVAC units and upgrading related systems, benefiting over 650 students and staff with improved air quality.

The Lakeview School District will obtain $470,000 for roof repairs at the Lakeview Area Junior/Senior High School. The current roof is 22 years old and deteriorating, causing leaks that have affected hallways, classrooms, and the gymnasium.

Additional funding has been allocated to six entities across the district for various projects:

- Bear Creek Watershed Authority will receive $285,300 for emergency generators at four sewage treatment plants.

- Butler County Community Development Corporation is granted $28,485 for police equipment upgrades on behalf of Slippery Rock University Foundation Inc.

- Grove City Borough is awarded $500,000 for a storm sewer project aimed at flood control improvements.

- Jefferson Township receives $190,644 for a new dump truck dedicated to road maintenance.

- Perry Township will get $489,000 to purchase equipment for road maintenance tasks.

- Wilmington Township secures $147,293 for acquiring a new dump truck.

"From our roadways to flood control, to our classrooms, protecting our citizens is paramount and should always be a target of investment," said Bonner. "I am proud to have advocated for these projects and equipment which will create a safer area in the 17th Legislative District."

These grants were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority as part of efforts to stimulate Pennsylvania’s economic growth and infrastructure enhancements.
