State Representative Parke Wentling | Pennsylvania 7th Legislative District
Rep. Parke Wentling has announced the allocation of $1 million in Public School Facility Improvement grants for schools within Pennsylvania's 7th Legislative District. The funding, secured through the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA), aims to support various projects across several school districts.
Wentling, who previously worked as a public school teacher, expressed his satisfaction with the initiative. "As a former public school teacher," he stated, "I’m proud to bring this funding back to our schools, minimizing the financial impact these projects will have on students, staff, faculty and taxpayers."
The distribution of funds includes:
- Greenville Area School District: $200,000 for window replacement and asbestos mitigation at the junior/senior high school building.
- Reynolds School District: $200,000 dedicated to energy savings projects at their junior/senior high school building.
- Sharon City School District: $200,000 allocated for roof repair projects at Sharon Middle-High School and West Hill Elementary School.
- Sharpsville Area School District: $200,000 for a roof replacement project at the combined middle and high school building.
- West Middlesex Area School District: $200,000 for boiler system replacement projects at Luther Low Elementary and Oakview Elementary schools.
These grants are part of the Public School Facility Improvement Grant Program which provides financial assistance to public school districts and area career and technical schools for eligible facility improvement initiatives.
