State Representative Parke Wentling | Pennsylvania 7th Legislative District
Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer) announced today that the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission (PHMC) has awarded $8,000 in funding to the Mercer County Historical Society. This funding is part of PHMC’s Cultural and Historical Grant Program, which provides general operating support to Pennsylvania museums and historical societies not directly supported by other state programs.
“As a Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commissioner, I’m thrilled the Mercer County Historical Society will receive another round of this crucial funding,” Wentling said. “It’s incredibly important to remember where we came from, and this money will help the historical society continue to tell our story for generations to come.”
Grants were awarded using a formula based on a percentage of each organization’s annual operating budget.
