Rep. Tim Bonner (R-Mercer/Butler) announced today that the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) has approved an additional $523,766 in grant funding for Sandy Lake Borough to enhance its water system. This latest allocation brings the total funding received by the borough to over $2.5 million since December 2023.

“The continual and constant investment into our communities’ water systems is critical to the health and safety of our residents,” Bonner stated. “I was pleased to advocate for additional funding for this vital project that will make our local water systems stronger.”

The Commonwealth Financing Authority, established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), administers Pennsylvania’s economic stimulus packages. The CFA oversees the fiduciary responsibilities associated with funding programs and investments aimed at fostering economic growth within Pennsylvania.
