GROVE CITY COLLEGE: A blast from the recent past: GCC’s Top 10 stories of 2020

Ballpen

Grove City College issued the following announcement.

When this year finally comes to an end next week, it’s a safe bet that despite its history-making qualities, few will reminisce fondly about the events of the last 12 months. But, hate it or really hate it, 2020 was a year of particular significance for the world and for Grove City College.

The College successfully managed two huge challenges from the global pandemic – shifting practically overnight to online education in the spring and bringing students back safely and successfully for the fall semester. Chronicled on gcc.edu and spread via social media, stories of the College’s COVID 19 response captured the interest of alumni, friends and the general public.

There are other stories that were told this year about Grove City College and its efforts to expand academic programs, invest in students, provide value for graduates and serve the common good. Next week we’ll be looking back at the Top 10 Grove City College stories of the year, based on online engagement and institutional impact. They tell, in part, the story of the year from the College’s perspective.

We’ll begin the countdown on Sunday, Dec. 27 and conclude on New Year’s Eve with the top story of the year. Read the stories here at gcc.edu and watch the College’s social media for updates on the Top 10.
