Rep. Mike Kelly, serving in the U.S. Congress for Pennsylvania’s 16th District since 2011, recently took to social media to express his viewpoints on pressing national economic and policy issues. Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kelly has been a Republican congressional representative since succeeding Kathy Dahlkemper. He holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and resides in Butler.

On April 8, 2025, Kelly tweeted about international market dynamics, citing shifts in U.S. market share. He stated, "For years, the U.S. has given up market share to help other economies grow. Now, nations from all over the world are in our market -- in some cases, they dominate. President Trump is making sure other countries don't take advantage of the American market. Later the same day, Kelly addressed energy policy. On April 9, 2025, Kelly brought attention to mental health issues with a legislative initiative. He tweeted, "When it comes to addressing mental health access and care, we must utilize every tool in our toolbox. That's why @RepThompson and I have introduced the Mental Health Research Accelerator Act, which supports neurological and mental health research to tackle the root causes of."
