The announcement underscores a partnership with local communities aimed at fostering development.

“These projects represent a commitment to partnering with local communities to help build a brighter and more prosperous future for Crawford County,” stated Brooks. “With these vital investments, we are helping to create stronger, safer and more resilient communities.”

Cambridge Springs Borough will receive $200,000 for park renovations and recreation enhancements to boost community engagement and promote healthier lifestyles. The Economic Progress Alliance of Crawford County in Vernon Township will receive $150,000 for infrastructure upgrades at Crawford Business Park. These include roof replacement efforts crucial for supporting business growth in the area that hosts over 25 tenants employing more than 800 people.

West Mead Township is awarded $100,000 for acquiring a John Deere wheel loader necessary for road repairs and municipal services maintenance. Vernon Township's grant of $100,000 supports the creation of Roche Park Miracle Field designed as an adaptive baseball field inclusive of players with disabilities.

“These grants will make a tangible difference in the everyday lives of Crawford County residents,” said Brooks. “From park improvements to essential infrastructure upgrades, the projects announced today will help ensure that our communities remain vibrant."
