Mercer ranked 872nd in Pennsylvania for resident earnings in 2019

Mercer ranked 872nd among cities in Pennsylvania by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Mercer residents was $28,949 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 901 households with a population of 1,784.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Fox Chapel with $92,457 per year after adjusting for inflation – $63,508 more than Mercer. It had 1,797 households with a population of 5,121.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Loretto with $4,384 per year after adjusting for inflation – $24,565 less than Mercer. It had 105 households with a population of 1,190.
