Graduates earn 100 degrees, certificates from Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Shenango

About 63 percent of the 100 degrees and certificates handed out by Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Shenango in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Sharon conferred 42 associate's degrees and 16 bachelor's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in occupational therapist assistant. Data shows the school gave out 21 associate's degrees in occupational therapist assistant, followed by 21 associate's degrees in physical therapy technician/assistant and 16 bachelor's degrees in registered nursing/registered nurse.

The university enrolled 419 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
