75 percent of applicants to Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Shenango were admitted for fall 2018

At Pennsylvania State University-Penn State Shenango, 61 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 71 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Sharon enrolled 419 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 8.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 14 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (69 percent) and Black or African American (7 percent).

The school admitted 75 percent of the 165 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 52 percent enrolled.
