93 percent of applicants to the Laurel Technical Institute were admitted for fall 2018

At the Laurel Technical Institute, 51 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year private for-profit institution in Sharon enrolled 168 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 27.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

89 percent of undergraduates are residents of Pennsylvania, and 11 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (81 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).

The school admitted 93 percent of the 91 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 66 percent enrolled.
