GROVE CITY COLLEGE: Admissions tours of campus are once again available

Colloquim

Grove City College issued the following announcement.

Grove City College is once again offering campus tours to prospective students and their families. New regulations to prioritize the safety of visitors are in place.

“We hope to provide safe, productive and enjoyable campus experiences to prospective students and their families while complying with best practices to protect our campus community,” Lee Wishing ‘83, vice president for Student Recruitment, said.

The new protocol is intended to comply with Centers for Disease Control’s Considerations for Institutes of Higher Education health guidelines.

The Grove City College Fall Return Planning Committee will release a broader plan to govern the entire campus community. In the meantime, the Admissions Office is opening with limited operations, seeking to employ best practices until the campus-wide plan for resuming full on-campus operations is established and implemented. The criteria are subject to change as the regulatory guidance changes.

The Admissions office has been rearranged to ensure social distancing guidelines. Signage encouraging hand washing and proper social distancing has been posted and additional hand sanitizer dispensers have been placed around the office. The number of visitors in the office will be limited, and each tour will accommodate one family only.

Visitors are encouraged to wear masks, and additional masks will be provided. Staff will be required to wear masks when social distancing may not be possible.

Visitors will receive a confirmation email and a phone call to make them aware of the current protocol, and a member of the Admissions staff will be available to greet visitors curbside and provide helpful guidance.
