Senator Michele Brooks is set to host three Property Tax and Rent Rebate Clinics in Mercer County. These clinics aim to assist eligible residents in applying for the state’s rebate program. Brooks emphasized her commitment to making state programs accessible to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and widows and widowers in the 50th Senatorial District.
“Many residents qualify for this important financial relief, but the paperwork can sometimes be overwhelming,” Brooks stated. “These clinics are a way to bring government services directly to our communities, helping people apply in person and get the assistance they need.”
The rebate program targets individuals aged 65 and over, widows and widowers aged 50 and over, and people with disabilities aged 18 and over. To qualify, applicants must have a household income of $46,520 or less in 2024.
Applicants attending the clinics must bring proof of all 2024 income. Homeowners are required to present their 2024 paid property tax receipts, while renters need to provide a completed rent certificate.
Residents can contact Brooks’ office at 724-588-8911 for more information or to verify required documentation.
