City of Sharon recently issued the following announcement.
Sharon City Council will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at 7:00 PM, in Council Chambers, 155 West Connelly Boulevard, Sharon, PA. The purpose of the hearing is Final Readings on two (2) Ordinances: 1) Approving Editing of Various Component Codes of the City’s Codified Ordinances; 2) Amending the Codified Ordinance to Add a Section of Pitt Street to One-Hour Parking.

Rep. Parke Wentling will join Treasurer Stacy Garrity for three unclaimed property check presentations in Greenville on April 17. The events aim to return funds to local residents and organizations while raising awareness about unclaimed assets held by the state treasury.
Rep. Parke Wentling announced that Sharon will receive $3 million from PENNVEST for replacing catch basins across the city. The funding supports local infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing public health, safety, and water quality.
Rep. Parke Wentling announced new state grants supporting afterschool programs at Farrell Area School District as well as youth advocacy efforts by PA CASA’s Mercer County branch. The funds come from statewide initiatives aimed at improving safety, learning opportunities, and child welfare.
