On Tuesday, March 25, former Mercer Area Senior High School standout Taylor Truran’s current college team, the Youngstown State Penguins, won 16-8 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Niagara Purple Eagles.

The game took place at YSU Softball Complex. This was their second matchup against the Purple Eagles this season.

The Penguins’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, March 26 at 2 p.m. at Meserve Field against Bowling Green Falcons.
