On Sunday, March 23, former Sharon High School standout Mikey Rodriques’ current college team, the Youngstown State Penguins, lost 20-16 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons.
The game took place at Eastwood Field. This was their third matchup against the Mastodons this season.
The Penguins’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 at 3 p.m. at Steller Field against Bowling Green Falcons.
Senator Michele Brooks and Representative Parke Wentling have congratulated Nico Nicklin, a fifth-grade student at Greenville Elementary School, for being selected as the cover artist for the 2026 Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Drug-Free calendar.
Sharon has been awarded a Green Light-Go Program grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, according to an announcement by Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer).
