HHS Financial Aid Workshop

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the most important form to complete in order to qualify for almost all types of financial aid.  Federal, state, local and private entities use the FAFSA information to determine eligibility for grants and scholarships.

The FAFSA is available October 1 for the upcoming academic year.  Senior families should complete and file the form as soon as possible, as deadlines vary by school, state and more.

On Thursday, October 20, 2022, we will host a Financial Aid Workshop at Hickory High School.

Amy Sloan, a student aid expert from PHEAA will be available to provide information and answer questions during the first hour, from 6-7 PM, for junior and senior families.  After Mrs. Sloan’s presentation, senior families can stay to complete their FAFSA for the 23-24 school year.  Seniors please bring your Chromebook, FSA ID and all other financial materials needed to file the FAFSA.
