Pennsylvania House Republicans have launched an initiative aiming at immediate cost-of-living relief through temporary tax cuts affecting income taxes, utilities taxes, gas taxes, car seats sales taxes and baby products sales taxes over six months statewide—plus public hearings set around issues like child care or housing.
Farrell Area School District has received a Schools-to-Work Program grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry, according to an announcement by Rep. Parke Wentling (R-Mercer).
Rep. Tim Bonner announced more than $13,000 in new funding for the Fredonia Volunteer Fire Department. The grant will help purchase equipment and provide training aimed at improving emergency response in Mercer County.
