Sen. Michele Brooks (R-50) is organizing a Senior Expo on Thursday, September 11, at the Vernon Central Hose Company in Meadville. The event will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and is open to seniors and caregivers in the area.

The expo aims to connect attendees with resources and programs offered by state government as well as local nonprofit and community organizations. Vendors will also provide prize drawings during the event.

Health services available at the expo include free bone density tests, vision, skin, and spinal screenings. Vaccinations for flu, pneumonia, and Tdap will be offered to those interested.

“I always enjoy these opportunities to engage with our senior citizens and ensure they have access to the support they need,” said Brooks. “This expo offers valuable tools to help seniors live safely, independently and actively.”

Additionally, Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 52 will collect snacks and personal care items for troops during the event.

“I look forward to seeing everyone again this year,” Brooks said.

No RSVP is required for attendance. For more information, individuals can call 724-588-8911 or visit www.senatorbrooks.com or Facebook.com/senatormichelebrooks.
